These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Auteur, a screenplay-coverage service operated by NightBlue Digital LLC (“Auteur,” “we,” “us”). By using the site or submitting a script, you agree to these Terms.
The service
Auteur provides AI-generated screenplay coverage: you upload a script, pay a one-time fee, and receive a written coverage report. The report is generated with the help of artificial intelligence and is intended as feedback and analysis. It is not a guarantee of any commercial, creative, or professional outcome, and it is not legal, financial, or professional advice.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Auteur. By using the service you represent that you meet this requirement.
Your content
You keep all ownership of the scripts you upload. You grant us a limited license to store and process your script solely to generate and deliver your coverage report. You represent that you own or have the rights to any script you submit, and that submitting it does not infringe anyone else’s rights. Do not upload material you do not have the right to submit.
Payment
Coverage is offered for a one-time fee shown at checkout, processed securely by Stripe. By submitting payment you authorize us to charge the applicable amount.
Refunds
If we are unable to generate your coverage report—for example, because your PDF cannot be read—you will not be charged, or you will be refunded automatically. Because coverage is a digital product delivered on completion, we do not otherwise offer refunds once a report has been generated and delivered. If something went wrong with your order, email us and we’ll make it right.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to disrupt or overload it, accessing it through automated means without permission, or uploading unlawful content or content you do not have the right to submit.
Disclaimer
The service and all coverage reports are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy. AI analysis may contain errors or omissions and reflects an automated reading of your script, not a professional or industry endorsement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NightBlue Digital LLC and Auteur will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the coverage giving rise to the claim.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
